We are excited to announce our annual Collaborative Response Retreat!
This Retreat will be an outstanding opportunity to learn more about how schools and districts are developing inclusive frameworks of collaborative response, as well as connect with other dedicated educational leaders engaging in this transformational model of structures, processes and beliefs.
What is Collaborative Response?
Ensuring success for all students is a moral imperative for all schools, but takes a highly coordinated framework of structures and processes within a school to maximize the collective capacity of the team. Collaborative Response is an organizational mindset that involves some fundamental shifts for schools and districts, such as layering collaborative team structures, transforming how we talk about student needs, focusing on students close to meeting expectations through thoughtful organization of data and evidence and ensuring tiering of supports rather than students.
When and Where is the Retreat?
May 5-6, 2023 at the Lacombe Memorial Centre, Lacombe, Alberta.
What is the Format for the Retreat?
The Collaborative Response Retreat is a unique learning event, with keynote addresses, breakout sessions, opportunities for individual consultation, panel discussions and team planning time. Through the design of the retreat, the intention is that participants leave with a plan for next steps to introduce, establish or deepen Collaborative Response within their own organization. The Jigsaw Learning team will provide focused support to in-person teams and leaders, with exceptional opportunities throughout the event for networking with other schools and districts!
In addition, we will once again be providing an asynchronous component to our Retreat. Everyone who registers for the in-person event will be provided access from April 21 to June 2 to the Collaborative Response Membership, where they will receive access to pre-recorded sessions from the current and past Collaborative Response events, sharing the journey of many of our partners who have embarked on the journey to implement Collaborative Response. In addition, they will gain access to a vast array of content and resources to support their learning.
During the event, all keynote addresses and panel discussions will be recorded, to be uploaded to the membership following the Retreat.
Unable to attend in person? Consider accessing a membership, to access all the online content plus recordings from the May 5-6 Retreat! It is an outstanding alternative for anyone wishing to engage in further learning but unable to join us in person in Lacombe!
