The course is broken down into six modules, and is designed as an introductory course for teachers who are new to online instruction. After completing the course you will be able to understand the process of transitioning to online instruction, demonstrate how to support learners online, discover how to build content for online learners, explore various assessment techniques for online instruction and understand the importance of course data and evaluation.
Designed and facilitated by Jigsaw Learning Associate Colin Byers, this online course is intended to enhance skills and is not a substitute for a certificated program. Credits will not be granted nor is this learning series transferable to any other learning institution. Upon completion of this learning series, participants will be able to print a Certificate of Completion for their records.
Module 1 takes 30-40 minutes to complete, Modules 2-6 should each take 10-15 minutes to complete, based on the specific content for the topic. Total completion time is estimated at 1.5 hours.

Organizations have the ability to customize the learning series for their school or district, to include reference to specific policies, processes and procedures. Customization cost is $5000, with an automatic 10% discount for all access codes purchased for the organization’s customized series. Colin is also available to provide ongoing support through live sessions in conjunction with the learning series, for a deeper exploration of concepts and learning from the modules.

The course is intended for participants to complete all modules, with module completion being a prerequisite before proceeding to the next module. This could be tailored if a school or district wished to customize the course.
How long do participants have access to the course and the included materials?
Participants have access to the course and all content for one year. At the conclusion of the year, they will not be able to log back into the course.
Do I receive anything at the completion of the course?
Upon completion of the course, participants will receive a certificate of completion, which includes the number of course hours (1.5) for the course.
