Overview

Phonics is an integral component of a comprehensive literacy program. Developmentally, these skills are typically addressed in primary grades. However, if a student does not have a solid understanding of phonetic principles, they will have a gap in their reading process which will inhibit their success as a reader. This series of lessons on phonics will provide you with an understanding of each of the components of phonics, teaching tips and valuable resources.
