Overview
Supporting students in both small groups and through one-on-one conferring is an integral component of a comprehensive literacy program. While we teach concepts and components of the curriculum to the whole group for all students to benefit, we need to ensure that we are also meeting students where they are developmentally on the reading continuum and give them the instruction, guidance, and reinforcement that they need to further their development as a reader.
