Dr. Brené Brown, a research professor at the University of Houston and four-time New York Times best-selling author, spent years researching leadership and organizational cultures. She interviewed 150 global C-suite level executives on the future of leadership, asking: “What, if anything, about the way people are leading today needs to change in order for leaders to be successful in a complex, rapidly changing environment?” Brené wrote in her 2018 book Dare to Lead, “There was one answer across the interviews: We need braver leaders and more courageous cultures.

Ten organizational problems have been identified in Dr. Brené Brown’s newest work – things like: we don’t have the hard conversations, we tolerate poor performance, etc. all of which lead to erosion of culture. Or, as she states metaphorically, it’s like “termites are in the walls of our culture, we can’t see them, but they are eating the good out of our organizations”. Some of the signs of culture erosion from her research are: perfectionism, gossiping, comparison, bullying and blaming, to name a few.

Is it time for you to reflect on you, your courage, your toolkit of leadership and coaching tools to support healthy cultures and develop leaders? With over 400,000 pieces of data and decades of working with all types of organizations, this is a program that teaches learnable and translatable skills for leaders, school administrators, teachers and coaches alike. In this work we define leaders as: "Anyone who takes responsibility for finding the potential in people and processes and who has the courage to develop that potential".

Facilitated by Laurie Hillis, you will experience a full day, have intimate conversations with a group of committed learners on this journey and make a plan to apply the concepts in your life – personally and professionally.
