Jigsaw Learning Partners with Medicine Hat Catholic Board of Education to Deepen Collaborative Response in Year Two

In the second year of a comprehensive, multi-layered support plan, Jigsaw Learning will work with schools and senior leadership teams to further enhance the implementation of Collaborative Response across the district. This ongoing partnership aims to strengthen school leadership, support district-wide planning, and provide consistent, system-level approaches to meeting student needs.

Key elements of the Year Two support plan include:

  • School Leadership Team Sessions: Schools will participate in four half-day leadership sessions focused on refining and deepening Collaborative Response practices.
  • Senior Leadership Team Support: The senior district leadership team will receive guidance for planning and establishing a system-wide Collaborative Response approach to support the identified needs of schools.
  • Collaborative Team Meeting Feedback: Schools will receive feedback on their collaborative team meetings, with the added involvement of a partner school as an observer, during the school year.
  • Collaborative Response Membership: All schools will continue to have access to the Collaborative Response Membership, providing valuable resources and ongoing professional learning support.

This initiative underscores the district's commitment to fostering a collaborative, responsive approach that addresses the diverse needs of all students.

"We’re eager to continue our partnership in Year Two, focusing on deepening Collaborative Response practices and supporting both school and district leadership to better meet the needs of every student," said Kurtis Hewson, Co-Founder of Jigsaw Learning.
