About this learning opportunity
The Leadership for Inclusive Education series will engage leaders in exploring key elements to effectively lead an inclusive and equitable culture of learning for all. Participants will engage in the learning through examining key elements of inclusion, reflecting on current practices and engaging in dialogue of shared experiences.
This series supports the work of principals and district leaders, learning support teachers, inclusive or learning coaches, inclusive or learning coordinators who support inclusive learning environments.
The series includes the following sessions:
- Establishing an inclusive culture: Do your beliefs, mission, vision, values and commitments support an inclusive climate?
- Nov 02, 2022 (4:00 pm to 5:15 pm MTN)
- Developing a continuum of collaborative processes and structures to support the success of all students.
- Dec 07, 2022 (4:00 pm to 5:15 pm MTN)
- Building layers of teams as ‘learners and experts’ to support students with increasingly diverse needs.
- Jan 18, 2023 (4:00 pm to 5:15 pm MTN)
- Using data and evidence to inform and guide supports for all students: Leveraging student, school and system-level data.
- Mar 01, 2023 (4:00 pm to 5:15 pm MTN)
- Creating a continuum of supports for students to effectively learn through universal, targeted and specialized strategies, accommodations and interventions.

About the Facilitator
As a Learning Associate with Jigsaw Learning, Lana Nogue has extensive experience in system planning and supporting schools and districts in strategically designing areas of focus and planning forward. Lana is integral to supporting schools and districts in implementing their Collaborative Response practices as well as designing and supporting levels of teams that align across schools and systems to support the needs of all students. Lana supports inclusive education teams with experience as a classroom specialist, school and district leader. She supports leaders at all levels and works at a district/systemic level to build capacity and support the goals of our various partners and strategic endeavors.
