
Jigsaw Learning is excited to announce that Trevor Van Someren has joined our team as WeCollab Lead. Trevor brings with him 25 years of experience in education, including the past 13 years serving as a Principal in a variety of schools within Wetaskiwin Regional Public Schools.
Throughout his career, Trevor has demonstrated a deep commitment to building strong, collaborative teams. Working closely with his fellow leaders, he has led the implementation and embedding of collaborative learning cultures within schools—an approach that aligns strongly with Jigsaw Learning’s mission to foster collective efficacy and support for all learners.
Trevor holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, both from the University of Alberta. His broad expertise in supporting student learning will be invaluable in his new role with Jigsaw Learning.
A passionate advocate for Collaborative Response, Trevor has seen firsthand its transformative impact on teaching and learning. He believes strongly in the power of collaboration to enhance instructional practices, strengthen teams, and ultimately ensure success for all students.
As WeCollab Lead, Trevor will play a pivotal role in guiding and supporting schools and districts in their Collaborative Response journey, leveraging the WeCollab platform to enhance communication, coordination, and collective action.
