The following resources have been developed for use in schools to support the work of leadership engaging in establishing, refining and sustaining collaborative structures and process to ensure success for all students. Please adapt and adjust as needed within your school!


Establishing and Sustaining a Culture of Learning for All

In a Collaborative Response culture, it is crucial that culture is built on thoughtful, evidence informed structures and processes that support teaching and learning for all.


Resources and Templates
Articulating Growth Template - Reflection organizer to be used in a variety of situations, to have staff reflect on shifts in practices across an organization, as well as key celebrations to help in recognizing and articulating growth and progress made.

Fostering Psychological Safety Template - Based on the work of Amy Edmonston (2019), a template to collect ideas that positively or negatively impact psychological safety for an organization. Document could be adapted for leaders or for team members to complete.

Identifying Challenges and Solutions Template - Organizer to collectively identify challenges, brainstorm a number of possibilities or "what if" ideas (also referred to as "Fluency of Ideas", where the innovative thinking is not interrupted), and identify possible solutions.

Professional Learning Plan Template - This comprehensive template will support the principal in creating a yearly professional learning plan for their staff.

School Learning Success Plan Template - The Learning Success Plan is intended to reflect the needs and priorities of schools, districts and local communities to create the foundation of planning for upcoming years.
Planning Next Steps Template - Reflection organizer to use with staff to help articulate current celebrations, questions to ask (to inform next steps), as well as a section to identify current issues and consider potential solutions. Intended to promote a solutions-based mindset for moving forward with school initiatives.

Lead Teacher Meeting Agenda - Meeting agenda template to be used when engaging with a lead teacher team in an action planning format.

Staff Meeting Template - Staff meeting template to be used as a year-long cumulative document, keeping all staff meeting notes in a single document, with the ability to link to important strategic planning and resource documents and ensure an action-focused approach to meeting as a staff team.

Class List Generator - Google sheet that includes formulas to assist in the creation of classes, with considerations given to balanced behaviours and academic support.

Timetable Overviews

Timetabling for staff collaboration, team meetings and student interventions is a necessary step for schools looking to sustain Collaborative Response efforts. There are countless examples of schools of all shapes and sizes redesigning their timetable to embed collaboration and intervention. As part of the Collaborative Response Membership, a growing collection of Timetable Overviews, including video interview footage with leaders and timetable examples, are available.
