Grasslands School Division is deepening its commitment to supporting all learners by expanding the implementation of Collaborative Response, a framework designed to foster inclusive practices and strengthen school-wide collaboration.
In partnership with Jigsaw Learning, school and divisional leaders will engage in a series of leadership sessions focused on developing tools and resources to monitor student supports and build a division-wide Quality Learning Environment. These sessions will bring together administrators and student services teams to collectively plan and refine practices that ensure every student receives the right support at the right time.
As part of this initiative, several schools will also participate in Comprehensive School Collaborative Response Formative Feedback, a process that provides detailed feedback on team meeting structures, the integration of data and evidence, and the development of effective continuums of support. This feedback will strengthen sustainability across the division and enhance collaboration among leaders and staff.
All schools in Grasslands will maintain access to the Collaborative Response Membership, ensuring leaders and educators have ongoing access to resources, tools, and professional learning opportunities to support their work.
“Grasslands School Division has shown incredible leadership in its dedication to Collaborative Response,” says Kurtis Hewson, co-creator of the framework. “We are excited to continue supporting their journey in building strong, responsive systems that prioritize the needs of all learners.”
This partnership underscores Grasslands School Division’s commitment to fostering inclusive learning environments and Jigsaw Learning’s mission to help schools and divisions implement sustainable, collaborative structures that make a lasting impact on students and staff.
