Northern Gateway Continues Partnership with Jigsaw Learning to Strengthen Inclusive Education

This partnership aligns inclusive practices with Collaborative Response and Quality Learning Environment frameworks already in place, supporting all students in accessing meaningful learning opportunities.

Lorna Hewson of Jigsaw Learning will work closely with Northern Gateway’s Director of Learning Supports, Bev Cotton, to design professional learning, coaching, and consultation opportunities. The goal is to reimagine access and roles within the Inclusive Education department, fostering a more cohesive and effective support system for students.

As part of the initiative, Inclusive Education Facilitators will participate in in-person and virtual learning sessions to build capacity, refine processes, and strengthen collaborative practices. Additionally, consultation will support the development of clear referral processes and structures that connect schools and district supports, ensuring sustainable systems for the future.

“We are excited to continue our partnership with Northern Gateway, supporting educators and leaders in creating inclusive structures that positively impact student learning and engagement.”
