South East Cornerstone Public School Division Strengthens Commitment to Collaborative Response with Jigsaw Learning Partnership

South East Cornerstone Public School Division is deepening its system-wide implementation of Collaborative Response through an expanded partnership with Jigsaw Learning, led by Kurtis and Lorna Hewson.

This comprehensive support plan will build on the strong foundation already in place within the division, ensuring schools and leaders are equipped with the tools, strategies, and structures necessary to support all learners effectively.

The collaboration will include:

  • Onboarding resources for new staff and administrators, supported by follow-up Q&A sessions.
  • System leadership support, helping divisional leaders refine and sustain Collaborative Response practices.
  • Ongoing administrator development, with continued guidance provided during monthly administrative council meetings.
  • Access to the Collaborative Response Membership, providing schools with a growing library of resources and practical tools to enhance implementation.

In addition, leadership teams will have access to shared materials, action planning templates, and a Collaborative Response dashboard, fostering clarity and alignment across schools. A mid-year review with senior leadership will provide an opportunity to reflect on progress and adjust supports as needed.

“South East Cornerstone has demonstrated a strong commitment to ensuring Collaborative Response is embedded across the division,” says Kurtis Hewson, co-founder of Jigsaw Learning. “We are excited to continue working with their leaders and schools to strengthen the processes and structures that make a real difference for students.”

Kurtis and Lorna Hewson bring years of expertise in working alongside schools and systems across Canada to create cultures of collaboration and responsive intervention. Their focus is on helping education teams build structures that ensure every student receives the right support, at the right time, through collective staff capacity.
