St. Paul Education is continuing its commitment to student success by deepening Collaborative Response practices across all schools in the 2025–2026 school year. Partnering with the Jigsaw Learning team, the division is implementing a multi-layered support plan to enhance collaboration, leadership, and evidence-informed school practices.
Key elements of the initiative, now in its third year, include:
- Onboarding Resources for New Staff — options include the Collaborative Response 101 online course for leaders or an Overview of Collaborative Response On-Demand Workshop for staff, to provide understanding for new staff joining the division.
- School Leadership Sessions — two full-day sessions and an online check-in to examine and enhance Collaborative Response implementation.
- Comprehensive Formative Feedback — seven schools will receive robust, individualized feedback on meeting structures, data and evidence use, and their continuum of supports. Participating leaders from other schools will also be involved in the process to foster system-wide learning.
- Collaborative Response Membership — renewed access for all school leadership teams to resources, professional learning, and ongoing implementation support.
- WeCollab Piloting — selected schools will pilot the WeCollab system to manage collaborative processes and document student supports.
“St. Paul Education is committed to authentic collaboration and continuous improvement,” noted Kurtis Hewson, Lead Learner of Jigsaw Learning. “This approach allows schools to strengthen their practices while building collective capacity across the division, ensuring sustainable impact for students and staff alike.”
Through this initiative, St. Paul Education continues to model its dedication to collaboration, professional learning, and equitable supports, creating a thriving environment for all learners.
